Gamtoos Irrigation Board
The Task
Gamtoos Irrigation Board, the custodians of one of South Africaโs major supply dams, needed a strategically-minded agency to manage its reputation and to assist it in communicating effectively with its various stakeholders: farmers, local government, and the general public.
OUR SOLUTION
The multi-tiered communication solution we strategised and executed for the board included developing an engaging, user-friendly website aimed at their water users. This was developed as the boardโs digital ground zero, from where all key communications would flow.
General marketing materials were given a fresh, engaging makeover, and GNL also took lead in developing the boardโs annual report.
GNL also crafted topical stories about the boardโs various stakeholders, the work the board was doing and its value to the community. This was loaded to the website and used on GIBโs social media channels, leading followers back to the website.
In addition to this, GNL strategised and executed high-level public relations campaigns for GIB, reaching key online, print and broadcast news media outlets, garnering a return on investment exceeding 12,000% in some cases (* based on the value of the achieved media exposure).
